I saw an article about this in the wall street journal today. Banned everywhere. It looks alot like caulerpa mexicana or feather caulerpa. are they the same thing?
I read that article today as well. I find it hard to believe that any fish that eats this calurpa dies. I think they might be trying to blame the calurpa for fish loss and not the polutants they dump all the time.
It is still a problem because it is not in its natural niche.
Caulerpa taxifola is not the same as C. mexicana or C. sertulariodes. There has been much debate and hand wringing amongst aquarists about this issue.
