I try to feed my Anthias at least twice a day, 3 times if I get a chance. You are right, they always act like this is the first meal they have ever had. I have square-box and red sea anthias that I have had for about a year. They are doing great. I feed a combination of Tetra Delica Brine Shrimp, pellet food, and Prime reef.

I have read in a few books that Anthias are high enery fish and should be fed three times a day.

That being said, I feed my 2 x's a day - three x's on weekends. Spirulina enriched brine, mysis, Emerald Entree - one Anthias eats flake, the other won't touch it.

Due to the small capacity of their stomachs they require more feeding. Mine seems to go after food like its never seen food before. I fed three times a day, formula one and two and prime reef and brine and krill and shrimp and .....get the picture?

I have had two Lyretails (squamipinnis) for a little over a year. I usually only feed once a day, but I have a refugium and feed pretty heavy. They are doing great, both have awesome color and the male is downright fat

Yes three times a day as much as they can reasonabley eat.
Like tangs and wrasse, anthias are active fish which use up energy quickly.
