Phlaceloid is one of the many different categories of scleractinian skeletal formations. Candycane corals (Caulastrea furcata) is one example. Skeleton is comprised of laterally free corallites seperated by significatn space in between corallites.
Funny thing is I would categorize both E.paradivisa and E.divisa as phlaceloid.
