hello!
I'm gonna set up a new 90 in the near future, and it's mostly going to be filled with lps such as hammers, frogspawn, and torch all really close to each other. I really want a bubbletip anemone, but will it harm the euphilias? I plan to keep it in it's own corner.
thanks!

The bubble tip would be the best anemone to keep. I have one in the same tank with similar corals as you have but they have not come into contact with each other. I don't know which would win out if they touched. Keep in mind the anemones will wander until they find the right spot - mine settled in a rock crevice near the bottom of the tank and the corals are much higher. I would recommend getting a captive bred anemone. They are now available. Dr Mac & sons has them among others on the board.

The bubble tip is the easiest of the all, and they will wonder around, I have one, and for a year it stayed in the same place, without me doing anything to the tank, it decided to move.

I was lucky I was watching at the time and was able to see the path it wanted to take. I has now settled itself on the other side of the tank. I have alot of the same corals you mentioned as well, be careful in the placeing of them, they will sting also. The Hammer and the bubble corals are very good at it.

Once my BT found where it wanted to sit it has moved less than an inch in a year. IME they aren't a super potent stinger and if it gets near a coral it will move away. Keep your eye on it for the first month or so. They are really good inhabitants if you get a healthy one.

I've had a carpet anemone for the last 8 months and he wont stop moving. I have a plate coral and some dead branching coral that I use to limit his movement. My real problem has been him digging his foot and toppling the LR wall. If you want an anemone try a corn anemone, they just anchor in where ever you place them. Have other people had problems with anemones knocking off LR when they dig their foot in?
