That's an impossible question to answer. It depends on what money is worth to you. Starphire is very very clear. That's it...

If I was severly wealthy I wouldn't use anything else. I'm not so I remain happy with my green tinted glass. No big deal

It would be a tougher question if there was a Starphire bowfront.... Hmmmmmm

Toured a house w/ dual 440g bowfronts made from Starphire while at MACNA last year. Very nice, very clear, and very expensive. I understand that Starphire tends to scratch easier.

IMO there it is really not worth the $ untill you get into 3/4" glass and over. If you are building a 3/4" tank you may want to think about using it for the front.
