Clown & Seabae

I bought 4 juvenile true percs which spent 3 months swimming around a powerhead in the top corner of the tank. For their first 6 weeks, there was no anemone in the tank, then I introduced a bubble tip followed 1 month later by a sebae, absolutely not interested in either, they preffered the damn powerhead. After the 3 months, I went on vacation for two weeks, had a freind looking after the tank, I came back and two had paired up into the sebae and the other two had paired up into the bubble tip - that was about six months ago, they are still in that formation now and it's a great centerpiece for the tank so it was worth the wait - I have heard of percs diving into anemones as they were put into the tank - but it wasn't my experience - My percs were tank raised by the way.

My tank raised perc loves his power head too! For the past month or so he has stayed at the surface around 2 powerheads.It is getting a little more curious lately and comes almost all the way down to the bottom but still hasn't adopted an anemone yet.

Bout how long should I expect my percula clown to ignore my seabae anenome? Is there any way i can speed along thi process? Is it possible that they will never come together? Also if I already have a female in the tank but he has scared it off, is there a chance that eventually they will getogether? Or will she always hide in the back and be stress for life?

the clown may not take to the anemone. there is nothing that I am aware of to hasten the process. I have a tomato clown that takes to any and all anemones in my tank. The perc will not go into any anemone but has adopted a favites and xenia. I have an orange skunk clown that ignores anemones but has adopted a small frogspawn for its home. Note clowns do not need anemones to survive and thrive

So basically patience is the key here. My true perc which I thought I was buying as a juv. with two others, attack the other two and has completely nipped the tail off the one that he seemed to be pairing with. Should I take the nipped tail one out also, and if so what should i do. Just kiss him goodbye or will he recover? As far as the anenome the perc seems to be swimming lower but really loves the powerheads. Maybe he will eventually move down. One more question could I eventually add a juv. at a later point and would he take to this juv. or would he kill him off also? I would like to have a pair, not necesarilly (sp?) a mated pair just two that could get along.
