Brown things

My 55gal reef has been set up for about a year now. Ive got 60lbs of live rock,a plenum,one fish and one coral. Ive also got a bunch of snails and hermits. Over the last couple of months I have noticed a bunch of small (<1/8 inch) light brown cylindrical objects all over the place. None of the critters seems to eat this stuff. Any ideas about what it is and how I can get rid of it?

Maybe some snail poop that's not being processed?...or not, but it doesn't sound good. Suck it up with your next water change.
