Im taking down my 15g tank and moving everything into my new 35g. I want to use the crushed coral thats in my 15g right now as substrate in my sump.
heres the problem how do I go about keeping the live sand alive in a 5g bucket while the sump is being built. its going to take 5 weeks until the sump is up and running due to college and other things.
can I just put the sand in a 5g bucket and fill it w/ some salt water and keep it like that for 5 weeks? or will this kill everything?
