Out of curiousity, I tasted the seaweed select. It is seasoned with salt and sugar. Unlike the normal seasoned seaweed, seaweed select is much thicker then those regularly used for out of the bag nori sheets.
I thought the common concensus is that the seaweed to be used to feed tangs should be un-seasoned. What's the deal here? Believe me, I have been trained to eat seaweed since birth, and when I tasted seasoned nori, I KNOW!
Are they just trying to fool all of us here by repackaging common seaweed? What's the mark-up for?
BTW, I tasted the green seaweed select. It actually tasted pretty good, just the texture not as fine as the ready to eat out of the bag ones.
