PC lighting question

Hey guys, I have a quick question....I have the CORALIFE 55W Power Compact 50/50 Bulbs on my setup....I noticed that the so called "blue" part isn't that blue, bur more of a purple part. Is this normal. When I go to my LFS, I notice his stuff is very blue, but mine just doesn't seem to be emitting much blue at all. Is this right? Do they turn more blue as they heat up? I just want to make sure that I am putting the right ligths on there.....thanks a lot everyone!

hey, his lights are most likely older then yours. this means the color has shifted. you should be fine.

The new true actinic PC lamps look more purple than blue. The older "blue" actinic lamps are very blue and bright. Perhaps that is the situation here.
