I have been doing a little reading here on the forum about dinoflagellates. I have read several discriptions on this algea. To many I can not identify what I have. It is rust to maroon color, grows in a very small area (spots), and hardly grows. Just stays in the one or two spots it has been in since the opening of the tank about 9 months ago. No stringy matter coming from it either. Also read were jmeader got bit by red tide. This also sort of fits my discription. Is there anywhere I can look to identify my algea. With some pics. The algea dosn't seem to be bothering anything, but I rather be safe than sorry.
