i have a mag drive 1200 on a 75 gal .(1150 gph)
i spliced it to two returns (one on each side of the tank) and on the left side is split into different directions. is this enough.
someone suggested i needed more water movement
thanks, justin
It really depends on what types of corals you plan on keeping. If you want SPS, then you should get more water movement, and more importantly, more random water movement. If you are going to keep mostly lagoon type corals, then you probably have enough current. One mistake that is often made is that you a tank never has enough current. You first must look at where your corals come from and then decide whether that type of coral actually needs lots and lots of water movement.
You might consider adding 2 seaswirls one at each end. Since you already have your return split and directed to each corner this would be a relatively simple addition that would help to assure better circulation. The only drawback would be the cost of the seaswirls.
