I have a 75 gallon tank with about 75lbs. of live rock. I have a bycolor blenny, a Flame angel, a small mimic tang, and a maroon clown. I am wanting to add another fish to my tank. I want it to have some benifits to the tank and look and act interesting. I am wanting to start keeping soft corals and such so they need to be reef safe and compatible with the fish I already have. I know that the flame angel is a risk but I really like the fish and have had him for some time. I would like my new fish to have personality and not hide or be seen. Any suggestions?

Take a look at fairy wrasses. Plenty to choose from, although some can be $$ and/or jumpers. A yellow corris wrasse is inexpensive, not prone to jumping, and is interesting to watch.

Another option is blennies. My personal favorite is the fang blenny. They are yellow & green with a black stripe along the top, and have a very cool swimming motion. They can be tricky to find.

the problem with wrasses is that they will end your DSB.
I would go with a small tank, yellow or purple, great additions!

I am not so sure that all wrasses will end up in the DSB (e.g., the filmented fairy wrasse is a bubble best builder), but you are right in that this should be a consideration. I use eggcrate shelves below the top of my DSB to keep wrasses from digging too deep.
