Is this normal behavior for a yellow tang?
Usually my yellow and hippo tang play together...racing around the tank..Friday I noticed the yellow tang not swimming around the entire tank but staying in about 1/4 of it..darting back and forth about 1 foot with it's fins extended...it was as if he was diving for food when there was none there. At first I thought maybe it went blind but noticed it would occasionally catch some food when fed. It did this all weekend. I've not changed anything in the tank other than moving the photoperiod to later in the day. Could this be the problem? I did notice it is looking thin and didn't rip into nori like it usually does.
Do these guys go through these stages or should I plan the funeral?
Thanks,
Todd
