I want to get Metal Halide lighting for my saltwater tank. If I buy a retro kit with a 250W 4300K Bulb, will I be able to use a 10,000k bulb with it later on, and will it work correctally?

As long as it is the same wattage and the correct socket, any kelvin temp will work with the fixture. Another helpful hint with MH bulbs, they have a nipple inside the bulb, make sure it is pointing UP. It has something to do with firing the bulb properly(gases won't settle in nipple).
