What are the flow rates of the return pumps? If your tank drops enough water into the sump to match the flow rate you will be fine other wise it will drain faster than it can fill.

What kind of overflows are they? If you have 2x 1" bulkhead drains, they should be able to handle 2x Iwaki 30RXLT pumps. Although you may need to widen the slots along the top of the overflow partitions.

hi everyone

I'm tring to add more current into my tank but I don't want to use powerheads.
My tank is a 120 with two built in overflows.I'm using a Iwaki WMD30RLXT for the return. I'm thinking of using two Iwaki one for each return.
Does anyone think its doable or will the sump not have enough water.

Thanks
Richard

thanks guys, I dont remember the overflow rate but the tank is made by AGA it's built in. The tank measures 48"x28"x24" 120 gals.
The Iwaki pumps out 1200gph at 0'head. I figure there's about 4' of headwhich bring it down to about 800gph.
