Old MH Bulbs...

This may be a silly question, but I'm replacing all my MH bulbs this week. I was wondering, what do you do with your MH bulbs (besides throw them out). It seems wasteful to just throw them away, since they'd still be good for non-reef applications. Can you run them on a MV ballast and use them for outdoor lighting? (They're 175W 10000K Bluelines.) Any other ideas?

I use them for my refuge/sump for growing macros. If you are not going to use them, I'd gladly pay for shipping if you would send them to me. I could also send you some caulerpa if you are interested. Send me an email if interested.

You could use them in that way, but, I would hang on to one or two. That way if one of your new ones dies, gets broken, etc. you'll have a pretty good back up until you can order a replacement. HTH. JME.
