I noticed this morning shortly after the lights came on that some of my caulerpa was spewing a light green slime from some of its grapes. I assume this is some sort of reproduction

. If it is is it harmfull in anyway? If its not what is it?

Yes,your algae is going sexual. It occurs for many reasons(so we assume). Lack of light or pruning. If it is a large batch you could have o2 depletion problems. If it is severely clouding the water I would do a water change. I would also make sure I have adequate surface tension.

Also,the algae usually does this it night or during darkness when your tank is at it's lowest oxygen concentration.
