adequate lighting

I am interested in the addition of MH lighting to my tank. I currently use 36in. vho's (x4). I got a new tank and i want to uprade my light. the tank is 36in. X 18in. at the base and 21in. water depth. My question is whether or not is should go with a dual 250, single 250, or dual 175? what do you recomend to work best in my tank?

I would still keep the VHO's (x2) in the canopy.

I'd opt for 2 x 250 watt MH, preferably HQI metal halides (more expensive, but far better output). If you want to go with one bulb, a single 400 watt MH would be my recommendation. It's difficult to "overlight" a tank.

Not to advertise, but I saw what I thought to be a pretty good buy. What do you guys think? Someone on #reefs pointed me to this site 2 days ago. I don't know what the price is for (just ballast, or with reflectors, etc). Good Luck!
