i have a lobophytum (or it might be a sinularia). i put a 3" x 3" piece covered with palythoa (zooanthus) polyps right near it yesterday. Today the lobophyton has turned toward the palythoa batch so that its almost touching them. Ive never seen the lobophyton turn in that direction, so im thinking it has to do with the palythoas being there? Does anyone have any experience with this and do these 2 species mix well? thanks in advance.

I have a lobophyton also near a zooanthid colony and have experienced something similar. Both are thriving, though.

My lobopytum will twist and turn and lean and stretch in every direction. According to Borneman the only problem with lobopytum are the compounds they contain. It can be bad news to some stony corals. They are on his "most toxic" list.
