I have Seachem Marine Buffer, which I've been using to keep my pH at 8.2. I would put some dechlorinated water into a container, add, the Marine Buffer, and then I would mix it, and eventually, it would clear. As of late, however, it hasn't been clearing all that much, and I can't seem to get it to do so. I do not want to add it to my aquarium while it's foggy. Any suggestions? I heard that putting in the water, the buffer, mixing that, and then adding the dechlorinator (in my case Stress Coat) would help it to clear. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

You must be doing something different if the water used to clear and now won't. I use the kent stuff and haven't had this problem. I use a 1/2 gallon plastic juice bottle. Add the recomended amount of water, ad the mix and put the cap back on and shake it really well. BTW eveyone here says stress coat is bad for SW, so maybe you should look at something else. Since I don't have an RO/DI unit I buy RO/DI saltwater at my LFS for about $1.19 a gallon and use it for my water changes. It has kept my phosphates down as a result, which stress coat did not.

Ah, thank you very much. I'll look into using R/O water instead. If shaking it will help, then by golly, I'll do it! I tried stirring like crazy, to no result. Thank ye once more.
