help..euroreef skimmers doesn't fit..what should I buy?

I think I'll be going with the reefcreations skimmer. A MR2 with a mag 24 pump.(or equivilant)The euro-reef guy says definitely nothing less then a CS12-1. I checked into all the sites you guys we're kind enough to tell me about and they all look good but the prices of some were through the roof. (remember that I'm in Canada so it's almost double!!) Can anyone tell me if the mag 24 is a quiet pump? if not can I find one that will do the job but that is quieter? thanks
