He has been in my reef for about 5 months then all the sudden i notice that the white stripe has blotchy brown spots on him......At first I thought he got dirty...But then I ask myself how the hell does a fish get dirty?.....Now I am wondering whats wrong.......Anyone know? He is acting normal and eating good whats the deal? anyone experianced this before? I will be crushed if i lose him.....I am extreemly attached to him.......Thanks for all help in advance! -Sub

Clownfish undergo pigmentation changes as they age or in response to environmental conditions such as presence or absence of an anemone, a mate etc. Don't lose too much sleep over this.

Can you post a picture? I was going to say the same as above, except for you said it's blotchy. Their lines tend to fade over time (many are born with more than one stripe) but it's a gradual fading rather than a sudden blotchiness.
