I have noticed pieces of my clownfish's fins missing recently - parts of the tail fin and the back top fin (don't know the proper name there). The tank is a 55 gallon with the percula clownfish (2"), a neon goby (1"), a blue hippo tang (3"), and a six-line wrasse (2") (added in that order). Any ideas who the culprit might be? I haven't seen anything yet...

I feed once or twice a day. Would it help if I changed to consistently feeding twice a day? Even if I can figure how what is happening, is there anything I can do about it (short of removing the culprit)?

is the clow realy small becausse i would think it would be the clown doing the niping. the only other thing i can think of is when hippos are in tanks for a long time thay can get a little on the agresive side. but as long as it isnt excessive i wouldnt wory about it clowns are really strong and hardy fish just keep a close watch on him for the next few weeks

I'll bet it was the tang. I had a yellow tang and he would bite chunks out of my maroon clown's fins. Tangs can be very aggressive, and they don't learn from clownfish retaliation IME.
