My question regards the product "ultra slime remover".Is it really safe for ALL reef inhabitants?I haven't recieved the product yet but have heard some good results from using it.I know it does not address the root of the problem but the stuff came in on a lfs purchase I made about two months ago so maybe if I can get rid of it now things will "be as before" the purchase.Wishfull thinking?

You have red slime "algae"? If so, i'd skip that product and try siphoning most of it out. I'm not a big fan of adding chemicals to the reef that don't absolutely need to be there, that stuff is probably mostly erythromycin. See if you can suck most of it out and if it gets to be a pain, try it out.

Who makes that stuff?

I'm not sure who makes the stuff. It is just advertised as a red slime remover. Can the red slime be safely siphoned out of the sand bed?It seems to be pretty deep.(the slime)

I lost my Candy Coral by adding a chemical to Kill red cyno. I would not suggest using any chemicals at all. More circulation and Less food helps Alot

Thanks for the input.I just hate when things aren't 100%.I just started using kent's phytplankton and coral-accell.It's all I can get here.Would like to try the livestuff though.Maybe I should lay-off that stuff until I get the slime under control?
