This morning upon waking up I noticed that my lights would not come on (96 watt PC) in the past I have had problems with the bulbs breaking. Today they are very, very dim. I want to upgrade from PC to VHO lights on my 37gl tank (30") unfortunetly I do not have a lot of money to spend I would like to know the cheapest way to go and your experiences with it. I would really appreciate feedback as my corals are currently living in the dark, thanks.

try to pick up an icecap because your lamps will last much longer than conventional ballasts. For end caps, go to an electrical supply and buy the "tombstone type endcaps". I've used them for years without any problems. Any endcap is fine as lone as it's hard plastic.

Yeah, its been way over a year since I changed bulbs on my ice cap. Still look (pretty) good, bout due for a change tho.

lampsnow ballasts will prolong bulb life just as long as icecap will, its an electronic ballast feature, not necessarily an icecap feature

I just got my VHO kit from LN. COuldnt be happier with em. Kit was all together. ballast is quiet, cool, and small.
Great kit. Got it next day, and the follow up from James is awesome. 2 Thumbs up.
