Fellow brothers and sisters of the Reef,

I write to you somewhat isolated. My flight home has been cancelled, along with many other thousands of travellers. Unfortunately it is now 10 PM, and there are no flights until Monday available. I chose to take a 14 hour train ride home instead of pay for 3 nights of hotel stay. Not to mention weather does not grant one hotel vouchers from an airline. Well my train leaves at 8 am tomorrow morning, and I am vegitating here in the beautiful Bank of America business center. So what is one to do but to blog!

I feel there is still no consensus on what fish make great, hardy aquarium species. I would love to know people's opinions and successes. To be honest, I am not one to check my levels other then salt and temperature. My PH is generally fine due to the NYC tap water and with 230 lbs of live rock in a 90 gallon tank my ammonia and nitrates are non-existent. For this reason I tend to play it safe and go with my trusted fish: Clowns, Damsels, Yellow Tangs, Pseudochromis, Royal Grammar Basslets, Groupers, Emperor Snappers, Puffers, Foxfaces.... are there any fish I am ignoring that would be nice and hardy for a tank. Share your success stories, and help time pass for me!
