ever since I set up my H.O.T. skimmer the air intake has been making a water sucking noise, and its loud. is there anything i can do to fix this noise?

Mine does that too to an extent. Does your skimmer use a venturi pump or is there a venturi valve on the intake? If you have a venturi pump and you connected the airline while the pump was submerged it will have some water in the line making that noise, atleast mine did. I took it out,blew out the line,connected it, then placed it in the tank. If it's a valve on the intake, you can add a muffler to the air intake stem to quiet it down a bit.
