Mag Pumps on less than 110 v?

There is a 11"x5"x 60 FEET water trough on the back wall of the set. They (the production department/ scenic designer) want to make waves in the trough. Okay, more like water movement. I have a Mag 9.5 that I may sell them.
The master electrician wants to know if it will run on less that 110 v. Like a Mirror ball motor.

Anyone know? Oh yeah, the need to do this by 11 am tomorrow. (deadline, schmedline...)

It probably will but it'll be like it is on a dimmer switch that has been turned down.. The less elecricity put into it, the slower it'll move water. In other words, it'll not work at full power.

Mariner, That is the idea. it will be put on a lighting dimmer, so there can be remote control. I just need to know if it will burn up. I know some motors don't like to be run at less than full power.

No, I don't think it'll burn up. I wouldn't dim it to the point where it just barely runs or just gives a humming noise. As long as you don't do that, it'll be fine. It wouldn't be any different than putting a ceiling fan on a dimmer. They run on the same concept. Electricity is fed into a magnetic field creating the circular motion of the propeller. It'll be fine, go for it.

Rock on. Once it goes into the 300 or so gallon tank with one full gallon of BLEACH, it is not my pump any longer.
