Was checking out one of my damsels to see if her eggs hatched tonight, they were looking pretty close to hatching today, and noticed that not only did a cleaner shrimp hatch its eggs tonight, but so did a hermit crab. I have never before seen my hermits spawn, and I didn't know they were even breeding in my tank (always heard of other people having them spawn in their tanks, but never saw it before). Anyways, I captured some of it on an MPEG, not very well focused as I was holding a flashlight on the tank, but you can make out the hermit slamming its shell to loosen the eggs, and you can also see the egg mass periodically peeking out from inside the shell as she passes it up to the front to release the frye.
I can't wait to see how fat my corals are tommorrow morning!
