I have an Emperor 400 hang on filter as my primary filter in my 65gal tank (I have no overflow or sump). 4-5" of live sand on a plenum system and 50 pounds or so of live rock. I recently put a new canopy on my tank and took off the glass tops, and now the output of the filter is creating a LOT of tiny micro-bubbles in the water, so small that I have a hard time telling if they are really bubbles or some type of sediment.
My question is this, while I know that the bubbles are good for gas exchange, could they possibly hurt any of my corals (colt and flat brain) by bringing them into contact with oxygen? Should I try to reduce the amount/get rid of the bubbles.
Any help or comments are appreciated!
