I have had a roque hitchhiker crab for a while now that I had basically given up on trying to catch. I checked my tank this morning and noticed that a Xenia frag looked munched and was very shriveled. So, examining further I saw the evil crab lying on it's back, directly under the Xenia frag, deader than a door nail.

Everything else in the tank including all other inverts look happy as can be. Is this a coincidence or do you think the munching of Xenia spelled doom for the crab? If not what would have killed the little guy?

Not that I am complaining, but I sure don't want any "good" guys to go down. I'm planning on checking params tonight.

Not sure if you can classify the hitchhiker as "good guy", but the mithrax I used to have dine on my xenia from time to time...Or I should say he looked like he is dining on it. Mithrax is healthy as a bull and have to banish them to LFS.
