Why couldn't it be bottled and slowly dosed in an aquarium?

For instance, I cannot hook up a calcium reactor to a nano because it could possibly cause a huge jump in PH and CO2. But a couple of drops a day from a bottle of the stuff and...

Can this even be done?

Just curious.

Hi, Mark. I don't know about a one container solution that would maintain dKH and Calcium other than CR effluent....You might be able to dose a balanced two part additive like ESV, for example using a two dosers. Good question that if solved could really help out especially in the Nano Reef world...not my area. HTH.

Good thought. My guess is that once the effluent was drawn off, the CO2 level would gradually fall, and the resultant rise in pH would make your Ca and carbonate precipitate out again. Just a guess, but I'd bet on it.
