Replenishing substrate

Hey crew. It's been a year since I set up my tank, and I think I need to add some more aragonite to the bottom of my tank. Currently, it is at most 1 1/2 inches in depth. Will it hurt to add a couple more inches of aragonite, or should I consider topping it off with another type of substrate?

I would add 2 or 3 more inches of mixed sizes. Make sure you add it slowly. Just a half inch or so every week. I would think if you put it all in at once, it would be harmful to your current established sand bed.
