Does anyone foresee any problems with
making a small wooden hood fitted with 400w retros and suspending it over a tank? Or should retros only go in canopies?
I have pix of boxes i made to put my 250's
in at home and can e-mail them to you tonight when I get home. They are very basic but serve the purpose. Also you can modify them if you want. I put rails on them so I can slde them down the tank and leave them on while I am working and still have light to see what I am doing.
I sent the pix and it may take a while to download if you have a slow connection.
Also i sit these on top of my 90 gal and depending on room temp and tank size you may not need to run fans, I don't and so far have not had any heat probs.
