I always wanted to keep these but dont know anyone that has had any real success with them. Always hear horror stories of nudi sucked into a powerhead or overflow or just vanishing, I would love to hear a good story, best of luck to you it is beautiful!!!

besides the accidents, most nudis r not suited for captivity life being we cannot provide for their required diet. they should be left in the wild. LFS sells them in hoping to make a few bucks by attracting buyers with the vivid colors.

Especially when we don't even know what the food is called :grumpy:
i agree,i have seened some nice nudis in NWA and it hurt not to get one but imo its just not worth the trouble of some freak accident or some type of poisoning of the tank.im not sure if these release toxins when harassed or die.but such bright colors only warn of toxic trouble.other than that i think it looks great and i wish you the best.keep us posted on its health.

well i did do my research before i bought it, and yes i know they have a low survival rate. and as for the sponge i couldnt think of the name as simple as it is, bread crumb sponge, also before buying i found a place online that sells it as a back up in-case lfs didnt have more in the near future. so if anyone else was considering getting and worried about food. i can give you the link. also not that its a god thing but they will supposedly eat zoa's and i have a ton of those. and ty dee

u should

U should read the link with i nthe thread that i have linked. it is very helpful because i have a link to an article from advanced aquatist that explains everything about keeping nudies and that just like some animals should be left alone in the sea......Just my 2cents.:(

If it makes it to the tunzes, it will be history. So keep an eye out on them, hopefully it stays within the rockwork.

Hmm why all the anger :) he is showing his new addition. If he didnt buy someone will ,maybe that someone would not have read as much as rick on keeping one. I would be anger if a vendor on the board would sell one ,But LFS will always be LFS

What make an expert ? do they not make mistakes ? they do and they learn from them !!

Instead of getting anger ,why not say nice nudi ,best of luck ,they are hard to keep and may get stuck in a PH so keep an eye in them .

ppl are always going to buy hard to keep livestock ,the one that succeed will pass on their wisdom the one that didnt will pass on their mistakes :)

good luck with the nudi :)
