Greetings,
I have in my 46 bow, 9 chromis. About 5 days ago while observing at night I saw something flash by. In a closer inspection I saw a small fish about 3/16" long. I have seen about 20 of these little creatures. It has to be the chromis

Last night I saw additional fry that are even smaller, about 1/16". The fish have reflective type eyes which make them visible and they are fast. Are these indeed chromis??

or something else

I would be surprised if they were chromis.. ORA has spent alot of time working with green chromis, and last time I asked them about it they weren't able to grow them past about 12 days. That was a few months ago tho.

Thanks for the replies. Is there anyone else out there with experiences with chromis? New life in reef tanks is exciting.

There was a whole slew of them thatlooked nothing like fish. I described them here and Minh Nguyen (sorry if I botched it

) said they were fry. Since my tank was only running 2-3 months, I thought he was nuts.

But I was excited because they were the first babies I had seen in my tank. The next day, I couldn't find them. Then one night, a week or so later, I was looking with a flashlight and saw 3 little fish about a quarter inch long - they lit right up when the light hit them. I kept an eye on them for a few days, but they disappeared too.

They were definitely chromis because that's the only fish in my tank.

My chromis eggs just hatched! Don't think they will make it.
What do they eat anyway? Do you guys feed the hatchlings?
