a very small butterfly fish was put in my tank and has done a good job eating my feather dusters. please dont ask me why he is in there, but he is.
so far i have tried with a net in the day and night to get him out. i spent about three hours with this, no luck.
i then maid a trap from a clear water bottle and baited it with food, and latter a feather duster. i succeded in catching almost all the other similar sized fish in the tank, but not it.
finally, frustrated and sick of this creature terrorizing my tank i tried spearing it

but failed.
the fish is in there now and i wonder if anyone could help me out with a way to rid my tank of this creature. thanks

At night, with the lights off, find where its at in the dark. Quickly shine a flashlight on it and net it while it is stunned. I'm sure this stresses the fish out a bit, but it always seems to work for me.

It has also been posted in the past to leave the net in the tank for a couple of days. The fish will become use to it and make it easier to catch with the net.

Another thought, if your tank is not too big. Remove all the rock to catch it. Is it about time to redecorate the tank?
