non fish store sand?

I was talking to someone who claimed to have a sand bed of aragonite which he bought at Lowe's. The only sand I can find there seems to be silicate based. Is there a certain company that makes a calcium carbonate based sand (as opposed to silicate), which can be bought from some place besides a pet store? does anyone have any brand names to look for?

the sand you are lookinf for is referred to as southdown sand and is available at most home depots...note sometimes referred to as play sand because of the low if no silicates....look for threads under southdown sand on this post...

Reefmut, do you know if HD has Southdown in PC?
Might need a little help with 250gal tank redesign, if you don't mind, mostly DSB and lighting.
