Is it a 1" pipe? Or do you have it reduced into a smaller hose to get to the sump? That will determine your flow rate (at least maximum flow). You can ask at your local hardware store about what the flow capacity under no pressure is for a 1" pipe, and then guesstimate that it will be slightly less than that optimally to account for back pressure and uneven flow.

I have a 120gal.tank(48x24x24)with a corner overflow(4"x4")w/1" drain.My ? is how many gallons per hour will drain through that hole?Is there a certain formula to calculate GPH?

AGA claims their overflow can handle 400-600 GPH, but I've found that not to be the case. I ended up widening the overflow slots with a dremel, in order to increase the flow rate capacity. A 1" bulkhead should easily handle 1000 GPH.
