I have a better idea - an acrylic tank, but with glass-lined walls, getting the best of both worlds...

Don't they do that with polycarbonate lenses for eyeglasses?

I have always dreamed of the inside of my tank lined with thick layers of saran-wrap. Everyweek, I will just peel off a thin layer, and Voala, glass is clean.

There was a way, but I think it has been outlawed. You just handcuff someone next to the tank and feed them if the glass stays clean.

I just don't understand why nobody has developed a tank with an automated glass/acrylic scraper. I just want a tank that has some kind of arm, almost like a windshield wiper, that will slowly move across the glass suface every morning to clean the algae off the sides of your tank. I have some greaet ideas for the design but I don't have the time or money.

Somebody please develop one. I would buy one. Could you imagine the time it would save.
