I have purchase a 5 stage RO unit last week, finally got a chance to finish the installation last night. It comes with a 4 gallon storage
tank, and i just wondering, what if some air got into this pre-pressure tank, whould that cause any problem, or are there any way i can get rid
of them. Also, should i always keep feeding water into the unit, even the storage tank is full, will the pressure from the feeding pipe cause
any damage to the filter itself? This is the first time i install something like this, and the company that i purchase from doesn't really reply my questions. Thank you so much for reading my problem, i really appreciate it, and look forward for any suggestion.

hi.
The pressure tank is a bladder system, so if you put enough air pressure between the bladder and the steel tank (there is a nibble on the side or bottom, if you check.), when the tank is empty, there should be very little (if any) air within the bladder.

Pressure tank kit should come with a pressure shut off valve. It is the plastic thingy with 3 or 4 tubings coming out from it, right between the input water and the first canister (or RO pressure vessel). When the pressure of the water tank is high (almost full), it will shut off the water automatically.

The pressure rate of the whole RO system should be at least 120psi, so apply full pressure to it won't do any harm to the canister/tubing.

If you will get a TDS meter it will tell you if it is working properly. They are electronic and easy to use. It will tell you how many parts per million Totaly Disoloved Solids are in your ro water and also the tap before it goes through the unit. It will also tell you when you need to change filters as the PPM will rise from what is normal. We have several Kent ro/di Hi S units and the water coming out is 1 PPM, 265 PPM before filtered. Best regards Terry
