hi i was just wondering about taking this exam and am looking for some advise other than from comp newsgroups and ms........

did you take the a+....network+?
what was your first ms cert?
how long did it take?
did you get a raise, or new job?
and finally...overall was it worth it?

Depends on what your doing now. If your looking for an entry level job A+ is a good easy start. Then maybe get an MCP (my first was NT 4 Workstation, very easy)and work your way up to a MCSE. An MCSE without a few years of experience will get you nowhere. I am a currenly out-of-work network tech with 5 years experience, an MCSE+I, MCP and an A+

. Job market around here stinks.

Forgot to answer your question. A+ took a day of tests, pretty easy without studying-worth it. MCSE took 2 months with a lot of studying- worth it? I did get a job with Comcast afterwards but had to start at the bottom and work my way up anyway.
