just wondering if anyone is using an amiracle overflow or sump setup? i found a guy that's selling an overflow that's rated at 700gph for $45 bucks, and it's brand new. he is also selling an amiracle SL-250, comes with overflow box, hose, sump, bio balls, AND
amiracle PS-2 HOT skimmer for $80 bucks... but it's been damaged. he said it's fixed and works flawlessly.

do any of these sound like good deals? i'm currently setting up a 55gal. infact, i'm filling it up with water for the first time right now. is that PS-2 HOT skimmer any good? pardon my stupidity, but what's the difference between the regular overflow and the SL-250?... can the SL-250 be used as an overflow box so i can connect a sump? thanks for any help and input? i was really only looking for an overflow box so i could connect a sump eventually... but may buy the SL-250 if everyone thinks that it's worth it and the better buy. thanks

I converted my Pro Line 200 into a refugium and still use the same overflow. I never had a problem with it. It sounds like a good deal to me, but I would invest in a better skimmer.

Good Luck

I'm extremely happy with my PS-2 skimmer. I bought mine off an auction on eBay a few monthe ago. It had a broken part, so I called Amiracle and they UPSed me the part, for free. I've not had a problem with mine.
