Hi,
There was a thread recently (less than 2 weeks ago)
where a number of people responed with their experiences, you might try to find this thread to answer your question.
As I recall most said that their flame angel "harmlessly niped" some corals when first introduced. However some mentioned problems with open brain corals and Flame angels. I have no problem with my flame angel and brain corals.
Also the usual warnings were there - angels and corals can be a problem and it often depends on the individual fish.
From my experience the risk is worth it. The Flame Angel can be a bit agressive with other fish though.
Cheers

It depends on the angel. I have heard both opinions. My flame has never bothered any of my corals, although it hassled a pair of Anthias I introduced for a few days.
The Flame Angel was one of the best additions to my tank. They are beautiful and do well in a reef.
I used to have a Flame Angel that I had to remove because it was eating corals. I later decided to try again, and I now have one that has been in the tank a year and is a model citizen. So, in my experience, you have a 50-50 chance. Good luck, they are great fish.
It all depends on the fish. Sometimes, they won't bother any of the corals. But, I have never had any luck with them. The last two I had always picked on my clams and corals. And.......
it was a pain to get him out!!
