Ocean Curents Rotator/oscilator Wavemakers?

Has any one tried the Ocean Curents oscilator or rotator wavemakers? I am looking to add some wave makers to my sump returns on my 125, but $320 for 2ea. 3/4 Sea Swirls is pushing the budget.

I tried the reef rotors(they stopped after about 6 months-dumped them) and then i got a OC ocillator & the pulser too. The ocillator worked pretty good(about 8 months)until one of my astrea snails jammed it up(stripped the plastic gears inside it) one day and it stopped working. All that I have now is the pusler which works pretty good(needs a good cleaning once in awhile)going on 13 months now with the pusler. I agree about the $$$ for the sea-swirls.HTH

Any one else had any good/bad experiences with the oscilator.
Does the water energy needed to drive the gears greatly reduce current flow?

I use the Sea-Swirls, myself, but here is a review of the OC units.
