What brand is better, I am upgrading my lighting to a 175 watt, 12k light. I know CSL is good, my neighbor has it, and his tank looks good. I have not heard much about PFO. WHich would you recommend and why.
I've dealt with PFO now for almost four years (PFO shop is only 10 miles away). They are a great place to work with. Their main business is commercial lighting. They aren't trying to survive on the aquarium trade so their prices are lower than most. Any specific bulbs you buy will be the same as from another store. Their fixtures and ballast are custom made and good quality. I've never had anything from CSL so I can't make a direct comparison. All I can say is you won't be disappointed with anything you buy from PFO.
