Yup, that is the reef. The PH goes from 7.8 to 8.3 depending on the time of the day and how cold it is outside, my boiler and hot water heater in the same room drives down the PH a lot in the AM.

i find it funny how i take the sand out and my alkalinity problem has been solved. ( i must of had an alkalinity monster in the tank when the sand was there and know that ive taken it out he ran away).. :duh:....:tongue1:

Yea I got it a little over a month ago, and I absolutely love it. If they made them for Calcium and Alkalinity I would eventually pick those up to.
Drs Foster and Smith carry them, but I think that they are on back order again.
They might be sending me a second one
