What type of light?

I try to avoid std's whenever possible. Or maybe we're not talking about the same thing. What is an STD light? In terms of lighting in general, what marine life are you keeping? Metal halide lighting will surely help many photosynthetic organisms to thrive.

Now I understand. Most people call them NO (normal output) lights but standard makes sense also. Would you be using the standards as actinics to supplement your metal halides? Most would choose power compacts or vho to do that but perhaps standard bulbs would work also. Specific lighting recommendations would still depend on what specific corals and inverts you were going to keep as their lighting needs vary drastically. Since you are talking about clowns are you planning on getting an anemonae also? That cold impact your lighting decision also. Many people keep clowns successfully without an anemonae so that's something to consider. Especially given the historically short lifespan anemonaes seem to have in captivity versus in the wild. Also, it sounds like you are thinking about putting multiple tangs in a 60g. I would look into that a little more if I were you as tangs are free ranging fish and more than 1 in a 60g might cause problems for the fish. My thoughts.

No, I'm not planning on getting a anemonae, they're kinda fragile and hard to keep, but I'm not sure what kinda lighting I need, plus the lighting is pretty expensive, for that combo 1 on each is like 495(the whole fixture).
Know a place on-line where I can find it at a good price?

ahlieds and no lighting will be fine. FWIW captive bubble tip alot of ppl have good long term success with them. not all anemonies are = Need to read up on all creatures kept and try to buy captive prop

Todo depende en los corales que quieres tener, el tomaño de tu tanque (mejor dicho la altura de tu tanque.)

MH son muy buenos, pero todo va a depender en cuantos bombillas vas a tener, y los watts de cada bombilla.

Dinos lo que quieres tener en tu acuario, y te podemos avisar lo que necesitas para luz.

Los calentadores son otra cosa. Todo depende en la temperatura ambiental y el tomaño de tu tanque. Con 60 gallones, yo diría que necesitas por lo menos 200 Watts. Acuerdate que es mejor tener dos calentadores pequeños que uno grande.

You will want to turn over your total tank volume at least 5 times per hour. This means that you need at least 300GPH flow in the tank. Do you have a sump?

In a 60G tank, 2 175W metal halides would be enough for most corals, 2 250W would be a better choice, though.

People might give you a hard time on this board for keeping tangs in a tank that small... Naesco, where are you, man?
