Guys, I did it again, but this time I don't have enough made up water. I am about 24gl. short. So I'm running the lower gph(635) return pump alone, and my tank and sump are still low. My ro/di is suppose to make 75g per day. It doesn't.
My question is do I go and buy spring water, or just wait for my ro/di?

!????

You're 24 gallons short of top off water? I'd see if you can find some 5 gallon bottles of distilled water maybe.

Your 75 GPD isn't making 75 GPD because it is so cold out. On July 15th it will make 75GPD. I'd wait if I were you.

Patience.....just wait, also if you can run a mix of warm water thru your RO/DI. You'll get more gpd because your membrane is expanded and not contracted. The downside is if your hot water boiler has alot of minerals it could clog your membrane or shorten the life of it.

if you have powerheads in the display by now, you can just close the drains and return off until you make some rodi.

i'm not talking about a week. 1 or 2 days will be ok.

Thanks guys, fritz not top off water I was doing a water change and took to more water out of the tank then ro/di stored for the w/c.
inline6, best I can do is put the tubin for the ro/di in a bucket of hot water. My ro/di unit is hard plumbed directly to the cold water line.
Scarf I think, (I can be very wrong) but wouldn't that be worse? The way I have it running now is with very little flow, but atleast the water is going through the filter sock, heaters, and skimmer. The power heads would only push the water around.

Goodness woman, what are you doing? lol This is twice in about 2 weeks...
We need to set you up with 2 buckets/pails...one with your replacement water change water and another of the same size that you dump your old water into so you are doing equal amounts. Either that or we draw an inconspicious line on your tank somewhere that you drain it to that equals the volume of replacement water.
Kinda tough to eyeball how much water you've removed from a 155 g tank!

I can bring 5 g's on my way to Brooklyn in about 30 minutes...call me if you need it.

 No offense tanken.:biggrinpa I would if my basement wasn't such a dungeon:skull:. Actually this would not have happened if a certain person had not called with aggrevating news:arg:in the middle of my w/c.
Now that's an , but I live in the Rockaways and folks feel like thats a whole nother planet.:lol_large
My grandma named me, someone don't like it tough on them. By the way that person was to much of a coward to say to my face what she wanted to thats why she came on MR (catfish1 is kathy at fishtown the owner's daughter).

Well, I don't need any water now. I feel like my tank is mistake. I've got a leak in one of the returns between the bulkhead and the tank itself. I tried to tighten the bulkhead, but it won't budge.:screama: I have no idea what to do, except to put a bucket under the leak.
Ordered the wrong bulbs, and the company won't take them back. Lost almost all the new fish, and my girlfriend's two blonde naso. the naso's I was told I lost them due to low flow in the tank, the others I don't know if the carpet ate them or the blue sided wrasse did them in. He did put on quite a chase.
I'm not ready to throw in the towel, but I sure am down. I have been spending so much time, energy, and money on this tank. And things just keep going wrong. I wish I still had my 120 with it's simple overflow and messed up plumbing.
I'm ranting so I'll stop.

Awibrandy I just PM'ed you. I'm at work for another 1.5 hrs. Did you try to loosen the fitting, try to move it back and forth to try and loosen it up a bit, then tighten. Maybe it's the gasket:banghead:
